The ADCOP project was fast-tracked for completion in 2009 and involved building storage and terminal facilities for the crude export from Fujairah. The crude oil was to be sourced from the onshore Habshan field in Abu Dhabi. The emirate pumps 95 per cent of the crude in the UAE, and are the third-largest oil producers in the Gulf after Saudi Arabia and Iran.

CPECC Scope of Work includes:

The scope of the contract comprised of engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up, and performance testing of the entire project.

  • Make tie-ins, including modifications to existing Adco facility at Habshan (Mp210,) and connections to the new main pump station at Habshan, with a length of about 28 kilometers
  • Installation of a new main pump station (MPS) at Habshan
  • Installation of a new Intermediate Pump Station (IPS) at Sweihan
  • Installation of a new Main Oil Terminal (MOT) at Fujairah Area Adjacent to the Vopak Terminal
  • Installation of a 48” pipeline from the MPS facility at Habshan to the MOT at Fujairah having a length of about 375 kilometers
  • Installation of a 10 block valve station located along the route of the 48” pipeline
  • Installation of three offshore oil loading facilities, and three 48” sub-sea pipelines, each about six kilometers long
